“It’s true that too much processed, fatty, sugary food acidifies our bodies. Opting for alkalines over acids will improve the body’s function, improve your shape and health in general. This diet can contribute to weight loss, but only if you control your portions and get the balance right. So it can work, but as with any diet, stuffing yourself with too much of the ‘right’ foods won’t make you thin!”
So as with any diet, proper monitoring and management is necessary for it is not only important to maintain a well balanced acid-base diet (70% base-30% acidic) but determining that and providing the proper regimen of foods is only posisble with proper analysis and understanding of the individual’s nutritional needs. This may also aggrevate underlying disease if one has any which highlights the need for proper monitoring and management to see the effectiveness of the plan.

Most of you might have heard of this term which is simply a ranking of foods based on the speed at which they are absorbed by the human body. Experts say that a GI diet is a good way to acheive and maintain a perfect body as long as it is managed and designed properly by a dietician who regularly checks the dietary needs of your body. Carbohydrates are classified as the most worrysome of foods for it is responsible fopr body mass or too much of it that is. Taming those carbs, and watching their sugar contents is not only healthy but allows the body to maintain a well-balanced nutritionsl system that is good for everybody.
Enjoyed by celebrities like Sharon Stone who is turning 50 but has the body most 20 year olds would die for. The system works by classifying foods such as; Reds (meats and other high Carb foods) are cut out or strictly limited, Yellows are moderated and Greens (obviously vegetables and fruits) are the most favorable according to their nice GI rating.

Many celebrities go to extreme lengths just to maintain that beautiful figure of theirs and some of them are inded going on this lemon diet. The lemon diet is actually another detoxification diet that capitalizes on the high concentrations of Vitamin-C in the sour fruit. Filled with acid and vitamins it does have a cleansing effect on the body which should start with a detox diet consisting merely of fresh fruits and water. This is followed by a whole week’s drinking of lemonade at room temperature and organic fruits and foods that would surely trim you down.
If you have some problems with your digestive tract, please consult your doctor for the high acid content of lemons might aggrevate the condition further and as we know, it can be very painful.

The process allows you to get fresh and natural glowing skin but don’t think its gonna be pain free. As the term implies, the rpocedure involves removing a few layers of skin cells from the face and neck using an abrasive compound that abrades them away exposing new skin. It does get a bit painful right after the treatment but there is usually a soothing mask is applied and even two in some treatments. The good news is that it gets those unsightly lines, acne scars and other skin blemishes away leaving smooth skin as that of a baby’s bottom (sometimes). It does fell like sandpapering on your face and you’d have to wear earplugs to avoid getting the stuff into your ears so kiss those iPod’s goodbye, well till its all over. Use primers to even out blotchy complexion and follow with a liquid foundation or tint which makes your face evenly toned. Apply only as needed and don’t overdo for it will run if applied too heavy. Use translucent powder and steer away from colored powders for they will streak on oily skin. For a natural glow, don’t apply powder to the tops of your cheekbones. Keep away from crème foundations for they smudge with oily skin as the day progresses. Sweep your cheekbones with some powdered shimmer with a fan brush to liven it up a bit. Carry blotching paper with you to soak up that oil as it accumulates so you can touch up and prevent blotching through the day.

Well, that’s a good question for there are many products on the market that not only come in many brands but in many types. Crème, liquid, powder and mousse, so which do you choose? J-Lo, loves spray on or airbrush style foundations that allows a flawless look that can give you the look of a star. The stuff is quite hard to use and the best ones are the more expensive ones for they work best. There are cheaper brands such as those from Sally Hansen but expert reviews only give it two stars. It does take practice to use so best leave it to a makeup artist to do the applying. If you wish, you could buy a cheaper brand, practice with that then turn to the more expensive brands as your confidence grows in using it.
