fudmud.jpgThere has been new findings in dietary research that our diet is directly related to our mental health. The Food and Mood Project which was conducted in the UK by the country’s leading mental health charity has shown that the food we favor are exactly the foods that drive us into obesity or poor health. Mental health is influenced by the way we eat grouping food items or components into two; stressors and supporters. Stressors like; caffeine, sugar, salt, alcohol and the likes influences the function of the brain and body as a whole making it either too sluggish or too deprived. Caffeine as we know it leaves you more tired than you started with as the effects start to wear out. Supporters like; water, vegetables and fruits among some of them, give us the needed boost removing toxins from the blood and giving us better health through proper digestion, vitamins and minerals.
