Go Green, Fashion Wake-up

Category: Clothes,General,Information,Make-up,Skin — Ella @ 3:14 am

fashionCelebrities are sporting them so why shouldn’t you? Green fashion accessories abound and they are quite green and environmentally friendly. Most of the fashion trends of days gone by have been scorned and hated by green fellows for their sinister beginnings. They use exotic furs and skin products that have almost wiped out entire species. Most stars fall for the nostalgia of fur studded clothes that were the norm of days gone by. Those who choose to sport them are today hated and even subject to well, smear campaigns to dissuade their fashion statement. Green products are recyclable and were produced using green technologies. Whether from recycled goods, like the recent feature on CNN about fashion designers who use junk to make special fashion accessories. (more…)

Want Longer Looking Legs?

Category: General,Information — Ella @ 3:07 am

legs2Choose a pair of heels that kinda’ has the same shade as your skin. These neutrally toned heels are the norm of spring catwalks and with good reason, they’re simple and yet effective ways of bringing in a false sense of height. Well, not that it matters for as we all know, beauty begins from within and any style will do. See those high cut dresses the stars we love are sporting, they can work for you too, coupled with skin tone leggings. They make you look taller and coupled with those heels, get that illusion of height you may not have or be content with. From neutral to gold and silver shades that seems to become extensions of your legs plus the height of those heels, nice height, or look of it, enough for that night out. (more…)

Want Luscious Lips – Put Some Spice to it

Category: General,Information,Quick fixes,Skin — editor @ 12:05 pm

plumplipsWant temporarily plump lips for that so-in look? Try using some cinnamon oil before putting on your lipstick, it works just the same but without the pricey cosmetic injections. A warning though, best try it out for it can be irritating to people sensitive to the spice and the oil being concentrated, it will burn or sting more. Go the grocery for some and try it out, it adds plumpness for that special evening and it costs next to nothing. One more thing, want cheaper lipstick without shifting brands? Some manufacturers like Mack offer discounts if you opt to buy them with your old casings with you. It helps you save some cash as well as help save mother nature by lessening the trash you produce in the home.

Age Seen in Our Hands

Most of the time we forget to moisturize and protect our hands. There is the old adage that you can tell a woman’s age by the state of her hands. The skin on our hands is subjected to a lot of activity, from work, play and utility, but also it is prone to substantial washes and sanitizing. It’s good to remember to moisturize and treat our hands well when they’re not busy working. Using a heavy hand cream and encasing our hands in a pair of light gloves while we sleep to give them a boost of moisture.
Wearing sunscreen for our hands is also a great idea especially when we our driving, because we know the sun does a lot of damage! Even during cloudy days, it can cause us to be exposed to harsh rays that can cause our delicate hands skin aging.

Whether you want to admit it or not, Angelina Jolie’s lips make you envious because let’s face it, most of us aren’t born with full, voluptuous pouts and so we try to do everything we can to get that look. Unfortunately, it can be a bit of a challenge and it doesn’t always work out. You either put too much stuff on and you end up looking like a clown, you don’t put enough on, or you just can’t seem to get your pucker to look full no matter what you try! So what’s the trick to getting super full lips without the injection?

STEP 1: STAIN
Go to your local drug store and buy a berry shade lip stain. Start by dabbing it on to your lips by blending it into the inside of your mouth, which is the soft part next to your teeth. Use your ring finger to do this and dab it gently to create a just-kissed look.

STEP 2: STAY INSIDE THE LINES
This is a great trick to help you stay inside the lines with your products as well as to help prevent smudging. Simply apply concealer around your top and bottom lip using a concealer wand.

STEP 3: DEFINE
This is where you concealer does the trick! Pat the concealer in with your finger to set it – this will help with the definition of the mouth as well as creating a fuller lip.

STEP 4: FINISH
Finish off the process by applying a clear, sparkly gloss to your lips. When the light reflects off them, they will appear larger. And that’s all there is to it! Now granted your lips will probably never look like Angelina Jolie’s, but at least you can be proud of your pucker!

Cellphones Create Pimples

Category: Information — editor @ 7:58 am

When you look at the mirror and see that there may be pimples on one side of your face, somewhere the jaw area, you’ll wonder why, how come, when, etc. Think about it, if you have been on your cellphone a lot recently, having some gab fest with friends on the latest gossips, then maybe you should either lessen the gossips or clean your cellphone. Anything that is pressed against the skin can irritate it. It may be from dirty sheets to bath towels. Your cellphone can also accumulate bacteria from your bag, hands and face. Clean it once in a while with a tissue or cotton damped with alcohol or astringent.
